Fedders Lloyd has produced and installed over 3,500 heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) roof-mounted package units (RMPU), which feature 7.0TR with scroll compressors for rail cars, including LHB coaches.

HVAC RMPU units are tested and approved by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) and meet international standards. The company has 500 employees and specialises in design, development, sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing and post-sales service to the customer.

Diesel electric locomotive driver's cab HVAC units are suitable for WAG-7, Alco, GM and many other types of locomotive. Fedders Lloyd also produces guard van HVAC units, featuring 1.5TR with scroll compressors.

HVAC RMPU with reversible cooling / heating cycle system

Fedders Lloyd has designed and successfully supplied HVAC RMPUs with reversible cooling / heating cycle systems, which have been tested and approved by RDSO.

With the turn of a switch, the same refrigeration system operates both cooling and heating. This is more energy-efficient, saving about 25% power consumption. It is also safer because there are no electric heaters, meaning a much lower fire hazard possibility.

Fedders Lloyd has experience in providing environmental control units (ECU) and auxiliary power units (APU) for the defence industry. We have supplied over 2,000 environmental control units (ECU) for BMP-ICVs for the army, as well as over 200 ECU and APU for armoured ambulance of BMP variant to the army.
