HBB - Railway Vehicle Manufacture

HBB specialise in four main areas: rail vehicle manufacture, automotive engineering, materials handling technology and lifting systems. The majority of HBB's operations rely on their advanced skills at metal bending, rolling and edging. Combined with superb structural design, heat treatment processes and surface treatment HBB are well positioned to design and manufacture many vehicles and products for the rail industry.

NC/CNC BENDING MACHINES

We use the latest NC/CNC bending machines to bend metals such as steel, chromium steel, aluminium, brass, and copper, up to ø 120mm. Our expertise in the area of bending is vast. Each new challenge is met with a fresh approach; as a result we have built up great experience and made optimum use of our technology.

Development is an ongoing process for us. For special-purpose jobs, such as section bending, we design and build our own tools. Our products are used in rail vehicle manufacture, in the automotive sector, in the interiors of swimming pools and public buildings, heat exchangers and mixers, etc.

METAL SHEET ROLLING

We can roll sheets for you in all kinds of shapes, made of different materials, and using all the standard profile systems. We have the latest three-roller rolling machines and four-roller rolling machines with mandrel and section feed length up to 9m long. We can advise you on your new projects and find the best solution for you.

We can handle sections up to 300/180mm in size, in aluminium, steel, and chromium nickel steel. There are countless application uses for our finished and semi-finished products.

METAL EDGING MACHINES

We have three edging machines of sizes up to 600t, with an operating length of up to 6m. We are confident that our machines can meet most façade building challenges.

Sheets up to 10 mm thick in steel, zinc-plated steel, aluminium, anodised aluminium, ground chromium nickel steel, high mirror-finished sheet, Dibond, and Alucobond are all among our standard materials

STRUCTURAL DESIGN

One of our core competencies is project development based on assemblies used in a variety of sectors of industry, from machine and vehicle manufacture to interior building work. We see customer projects through all phases, from component development to quality checking. Our flexible team will find an efficient solution for the most challenging of tasks, one that is competitive to give you the most for your money.

We guarantee top quality by using advanced processing technologies, such as welding of aluminium, chromium steel, and steel, WIG/MIG/MAG, spot and butt welding, and perfect soldering. Mechanical processing is by CNC milling.
