Autosan - Train Car Bodies and Steel Fabrication

Autosan SA is one of the oldest companies in the Podkarpackie province of Poland. We have a long history of working with steel and have built a solid reputation as a quality manufacturer of buses.

We are constantly adapting to suit the changing trends of the market. We are currently one of the largest bus manufacturers in Poland but, apart from being a leading brand on the automotive market, we also serve a wide range of industries and applications, including the rail, defence and commercial sectors.

TRAIN CAR AND WAGON MANUFACTURE

As we manufacture every element of our buses - from the chassis to the spray paint - at our factory, we can provide our clients with a diverse range of machinery. Our fabrication and engineering divisions provide an opportunity for existing and potential customers to have material formed, machined, welded and painted.

Autosan’s comprehensive range of services includes the following:

• CNC processing centre HAAS VF-5B/40 HE – 3D milling, drilling, threading and boring
• CNC turning, drilling and milling
• MIG/MAG and TIG welding using high-quality EWM welders
• Burning by laser (Bystronic Bystar and Bystronic Bysprint)
• CNC bending (Tauring bender)
• Galvanizing and anodizing
• Professional spray painting

DEVELOPMENT DIVISION AND TOOL SHOP

Our product development engineers work closely with technologists to prepare engineering and technical documentation, as well as drawings, using CAD software. Afterwards, all the tooling necessary for both standard and special production is manufactured in our tool shop.

Created to provide support to the plant production, the tool shop has evolved into an independent fabrication shop for precision parts and CNC manufacturing operations. The tool shop has in-house heat-treating, quality control and metrology.

STEEL WELDING TO DIN 6700 STANDARD

Having been awarded AQAP 2110: 2003, we are allowed to manufacture goods such as shelters with electromagnetic interference shielding for the NATO forces. In addition to EN 729-2 and DIN 18800-7, both proving the high standard of welding in our shop, we have recently been granted DIN 6700-2 in class C1, allowing us to manufacture railway vehicles and their parts with a high safety significance.

We manufacture components and assemblies as well as complete railcar bodies, and we are capable of building prototypes.

QUALITY SERVICE FROM QUOTATION TO DELIVERY

All the contracts we complete are carried out in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2001. Monitoring the contract from its review to the delivery of manufactured goods, we are in permanent contact with the customer in order to offer a tailor-made service.
