For the HÜBNER company group the InnoTrans 2006 has the motto "innovations in terms of the customer". Whether it concerns the presentation of the new "door drive Varido-RAIL G3" or the refurbishment of gangway systems - at HÜBNER the customer is always in the focus.
With the new drive generation "VaridoRAIL G3", a milestone for railway vehicle doors was set by the HÜBNER GmbH. By means of light construction and system refinement, a compact and light drive has been developed which reaches a mass reduction of 20 % compared to other drive systems.
By mechanically coupled reduction of the closing speed with simultaneous increase of the closing force a more sensitive closing procedure of the railway vehicle doors has been reached. A technical refinement which not only improves the door closing procedure optically but furthermore leads to a better maintainability.
Proven gear hardware combined with parameterised software modules complete the product innovation and turn the new drive into an attractive product.
Instead of a complete exchange of the gangways after the intended operation time, HÜBNER GmbH offers an extensive program for refurbishment. This offers the train operator a cost-saving alternative to an initial purchase also considering the idea of environmental protection.
During the refurbishment the components of the gangways are checked, if necessary demounted and renewed, if required (e.g. new folding bellows are installed in existing connecting frames). The decision, which components can still be used is influenced by the functional and optical aspects as well as safety and the re-establishment of reliability.
Furthermore HÜBNER GmbH presents the UIC compatible gangway which is the worldwide only compatible variant to the UIC-rubber tube gangway. Compared to the UIC-rubber tube gangways, the UIC-compatible gangways from HÜBNER offer enhanced comfort and safety for the passengers, especially regarding the sealing against pressure waves and draught in homogenously coupled trains. Furthermore they improve the sound insulation and reduce thermal losses. Thus, the HÜBNER GmbH offers a contemporary alternative to the UIC-rubber tube gangway.
As combination of proven and new, HÜBNER GmbH presents a complete system consisting of:

- Portal frame
- Articulation and articulation floor
All single elements compensate the movements of the single wagon parts and offer the passenger a safe and comfortable passage into the single wagon parts.
