Greenbrier Europe is a leader in the European freight wagon business. We have a comprehensive portfolio of proven wagon designs. Our modern, yet experienced manufacturing facilities provide our customers with quality products and on-time delivery.

Greenbrier Europe, a subsidiary of The Greenbrier Companies in Portland, Oregon, consists of a manufacturing facility - WagonySwidnica S.A., located in Swidnica Poland, a sales support facility - Greenbrier Germany GmbH, located in Siegen Germany, and a marketing and sales office located in London, UK.

WAGONS, PARTS AND REPAIR SERVICES

As the world economy continues to grow, more trains will be moving across Europe in a more economical fashion. This will mean new customer requirements for new wagons, parts, repair service and financing alternatives.

PROFESSIONAL WAGON PRODUCTION

The highly-qualified and motivated team of Greenbrier Europe consists of approximately 1,000 employees that cooperate closely both inside the organisation and with their external partners: suppliers, banks, technical institutions and most importantly - customers.

This proactive and positive attitude allows Greenbrier Europe to accomplish its strategy of a focused approach on high-quality products, delivered on time, and with a full service offering that includes new wagons, parts, repairs, refurbishment and financing.

WAGON ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION

Highly-skilled personnel are provided with modern and environmentally-friendly equipment and tools. They can produce various types of freight wagons that meet the changing needs of our customers. Continuous process improvement efforts focus on safety, quality and efficiency. Application of lean manufacturing and six sigma philosophies in the company's production processes allows Greenbrier Europe to offer highly-competitive products.

PROVEN WAGON DESIGNS

Greenbrier Europe has a comprehensive portfolio of proven wagon designs including tank, flat, bulk, box and general freight wagons. These wagons are part of the full service offering to the customer, and include parts, repair and financing alternatives.

TANK WAGONS

Greenbrier builds a variety of tank wagons with different sizes and capacities to meet specific industry needs, including a 79m³ to transport mineral oil products, 104m³ for transport of ammonia products, and 110m³/120m³ tanks for the transport of LPG and related products.

FLAT WAGONS

Greenbrier is an industry leader in building all types of flat wagons including 60ft single and twin flat wagons for transport of containers and track maintenance equipment for the UK market, which can be modified for use on the continent, 80ft articulated container flat wagons, flats with hydraulic tilting platforms for the transport of steel plate, tarpaulin covered flats for transport of coil steel and general-purpose flats for transport of timber, cut lumber and steel pipe.

BULK WAGONS

Greenbrier builds various types of self-discharge and box wagons for transport of bulk commodities such as coal, limestone and aggregates. The wagons are designed to meet the needs of the customers and conform to the country's infrastructure where the products are carried. Greenbrier has built many 90t/102t open hopper wagons for the transport of coal and aggregates for the UK, and 90m³ hydraulic side discharge wagons for the continent. In addition, Greenbrier builds all sizes of general purpose box wagons primarily for aggregate and scrap material.

GENERAL FREIGHT WAGONS

Our general freight wagons range includes sliding-wall wagons that can be built with two or four axles. They are equipped with two-part sliding walls on either side to facilitate easy loading of most types of commercial goods.

CERTIFIED RAILWAY WAGON QUALITY

Striving to the highest quality level, we have implemented the integrated management system based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and standards regarding safety management according to PN-N-18001/OHSAS 18001.

As a manufacturer of railway wagons we have received TÜV approvals for our welding processes according to DIN 6700-2, DIN EN 729-2 and special requirements for welding of the tanks TRT 009.

We have been approved by EBA, Network Rail, and AAR as a supplier of railway equipment for the German, British and North American markets. Our material-measuring laboratory is professionally equipped and managed by certified personnel.
