BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND CIVIL ENGINEERING

Construction operations covering building and civil engineering are split into regions based in Northern (Queensland and the Northern Territory); New South Wales / Australian Capital Territory; Southern (Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand); and Western (WA) Australasia. Activities include design and construction of roads, bridges, harbour and marine works, water supplies, and utility infrastructure of all types, as well as earthworks design, and construction of commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.

John Holland’s rail division is now the pre-eminent rail contractor in Australia. This expertise has increased over the years from purely short-term construction and rehabilitation contracts to long-term partnerships with public and private clients for the provision of construction, rehabilitation and maintenance services.
