Project Management Traffic (Pm-Traffic) was founded in 1997 as an independent company and a subsidiary of the Knape Group.

Pm-Traffic is considered to be a service provider for project management and construction supervision in executing and controlling construction projects, primarily in the field of railway projects. In this capacity the employees at Pm-Traffic have realised substantial construction projects in project management and construction supervision both for awarding authorities and for building companies within the last years.

The main emphasis is on the reconstruction of tracks at railway stations, due to the many construction levels required in the maintenance of smooth train operation. We meet the complex requirements of the industry, and co-ordination and supervision of the construction work are made as standard.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULING

The successful preparation and execution of construction work always requires a precise planning of the designated construction schedule. Therefore, the operation needs to be divided into appropriate sections. These sections are by nature in technological and capacitive-dependent relationships, and this must be linked through the careful consideration of their dependency.

The construction scheduling is a dynamic process. Throughout the implementation of the construction work plan, changes will appear repeatedly, and those modifications will be adapted into the plan. As a result of this linkage the effects on all following sections will be recognisable and appropriate counteractive measures can be taken.

We also draw up the construction schedule with the linear scheduling method (time distance planning). This method shows not only when something will be built, but also the location. In plans like these, both chronological and spatial conflicts of building measures can be discerned and dissolved. This is especially important in connection with the construction of railways.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The success of a project is significantly affected by the parameters' deadline, expenses and quality. Therefore we do not consider these parameters are isolated. In all decisions the co-action of these parameters is evaluated. For this reason Pm-Traffic supports its clients during the preparatory and the planning period of the project, to guarantee the maximum degree of success.

Also our clients receive support throughout the implementation of their construction work, through to the achievement of their goals. At the same time, alongside the continuation of deadlines and expenses, a claim management is been carried out. As a conclusion to the project the acceptance and the initial operation of the construction are being executed together with our clients.

CLAIM MANAGEMENT

We are adept at documenting the modifications or interferences of the construction work in real time. This is particularly useful when project issues occur which could not be anticipated in the preparatory period, as this often results in monetary and temporally claims.

We support the awarding authorities by the prompt examination of such requests as well as the refusal of unjustified claimes. For construction companies we offer the service of determining adequate claims which are passsed on in a clear form; but in both cases it is crucial to document the modifications or interferences of the construction work in real time, in order to ensure that all relevant issues can be consulted for evaluation purposes.
