Zavod AIT

Zavod AIT - Nickel-Cadmium Accumulators and Batteries.

JSC "ZAVOD AIT" is one of the largest Russian nickel-cadmium accumulators and batteries manufacturers. Our company is pleased to offer a wide range of industrial cell and batteries.

JSC "ZAVOD AIT" has been successfully producing Ni-Cd batteries, for the needs of modern European transport, including power backup in the gas and oil industry, from the days when they provided power for all rolling-stock in the USSR.

NI-CD CELL POWER SOURCE

Our aim is to produce reasonably priced, full volume output, modern cell batteries, to any company whose activity depends upon use of reliable power sources. Equipping ourselves with modern technology has allowed us to constantly increase our range of output devices, thus we are able to offer a more cost-effective and efficient service.

ADVANTAGES OF NI-CD CELLS

The benefit of using Ni-Cd cells is that they have a very wide environmental tolerance of -40°C to +40°C. They are able to maintain a good working capacity down to temperatures of -60°C. They respond well to mechanical loadings, displaying a good working capacity even after deep discharges, short-circuits, and long periods of storage.

Ni-Cd cells correspond to the requirements of International Electric Standard (IEC-623) - the improved active mass of the cells, by activity in a buffer mode (in parallels with generator or stabilizer), means that they can be charged at 1.5V per cell. Meanwhile, 3-4 times the amount of water discharged is reduced, which also improves the periodicity of service (not more than once per three months).

LONG LIFE CYCLE

AIT Ni-Cd’s high quality construction, large electrolyte reserve, low maintenance, long service intervals and advanced plate technology add up to 20 year's reliable service at a significantly lower cost than lead/acid.

KPH RANGE APPLICATIONS

  • Combustion engine starting and diesel-electric units
  • Powering diesel and electric locomotive on-board applications
  • Supplying the electrical system on trams, for lighting, electromagnetic brakes and door opening duties
  • Electrical systems where short, extremely high current consumption is necessary

KPM RANGE APPLICATIONS

  • Platform cars
  • Brake systems
  • Lighting of railway carriages and locomotives
  • Other power backup applications

KPL RANGE APPLICATIONS

  • Signaling equipment
  • Stationary and portable lighting equipment
  • Telecommunications
  • Emergency lighting for buildings

ISO STANDARDS

Our quality management system, introduced in the production, conforms to the requirement of international standard ISO 9001:2000. The level of quality in the plant is thus governed by guaranteed supervision.

JSC "ZAVOD AIT" has the scientific experience, production capacity, and the requisite technology, to fulfill the demands of the most diverse needs of our customers. Our approach to better business is rooted in our ability to respond to feedback from our longstanding existing users
