Rail converters for electronic equipment
Converters are used in electronic equipment onboard rolling stock, which has higher isolation, shock and vibration, input voltage, temperature, humidity and surge requirements due to technological and environmental limitations.
MORNSUN's URB1D-R3 range of DC/DC converters is suitable for 72V, 96V and 110V railway electronic equipment, such as monitoring systems, air-conditioning controllers and information displays.
This range includes the URB1D-YMD-6WR3, URB1D-LMD-10WR3, URB1D-LMD-15WR3, URB1D-LMD-20WR3 and URB1D-LD-20WR3 converters, which offer power outputs of 6W, 10W, 15W and 20W. The output voltages of the URB1D-YMD-6WR3 series are 5V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC, while the voltages of the other four series are 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC.
The URB1D-R3 converters offer an ultra-wide input voltage between 40V DC and 160V DC, isolation of 2,250V DC and, with the exception of URB1D-YMD-6WR3, reinforced insulation. They operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, and offer protection against short-circuiting, over-current, and over and under-voltage. In addition, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) of the series meets EN50121-3-2 standards without external components.
MORNSUN's converters are supplied in a 2.1in international standard package with two available pin-out positions (approaching the inside or outside of the power converter) and high compatibility.
The company also provides A2S packages for chassis mounting or A4S packages for DIN-Rail mounting applications, both of which protect against polarity reversal.
Converters with heat sinks for electronic rail systems
Featuring an optional heat sink and an output isolation of 3,000V DC, the URF1D series is also specialised for electronic equipment. The range includes the URF1D_QB-50W, URF1D_QB-75W, URF1D_QB-100W and URF1D_HB-150W series', which offer power outputs of 50W, 75W, 100W and 150W.
Output voltages are 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC, while input voltage ranges from 66V DC-160V DC.
The URF1D_HB-150W series also offers an input voltage range of 50V DC-66V DC with output voltages of 12V DC / 10,000mA, 15V DC/8,000mA and 24V DC/5,000mA.
These converters provide an operating temperature between -40°C and 100°C, up to 92% efficiency, and voltage, current and short circuit protections, as well as an EMI meeting CISPR22 / EN55022 Class B.
Rail converters for trackside applications
Suitable for trackside applications, MORNSUN's URB-R3 DC/DC converters include the 10W URB_YMD-10WR3 series and 20W URB_LD-20WR3 series. Output voltages are 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 9V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC. Input voltage ranges of 9V DC-36V DC and 18V DC-75V DC are available, while isolation is 1,500V DC with up to 90% efficiency.
Similar to the URB1D-R3 series, the converters provide operating temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and multiple protections. The converters' EMI meets CISPR22 / EN55022 Class A.
