ENIKA - Electronic Equipment and Power Converters for Rail and Tram Rolling Stock

Zaklad Elektroniki Przemyslowej ENIKA is a privately owned enterprise based in Lodz, Poland. Our field of activity encompasses the design and manufacture of electronic devices for tram and railway rolling stock, amongst other industries.

ENIKA has its own design office and testing stands and a highly skilled development team that will provide individually tailored solutions to customer specific requirements. Whether you need a standard power supply or a customer specific solution ENIKA will be able to provide it.

ROLLING STOCK AND TRACTION EQUIPMENT

ENIKA offers professional equipment for rolling stock, traction and industry. More than ten years of operations, together with customer requests and suggestions, have allowed us to broaden our product portfolio. Recently this expansion has become especially dynamic. Our current range of products includes over 60 items. The main advantage our products offer is high reliability in extreme operating conditions. This is achieved by using only the most modern components from renowned manufacturers and maintaining strict control of the production cycle. Our broad product portfolio includes:

Step Down Converters (over ten types): power supply 24VDC board network and single devices in trams, railway cars and locomotives. Input voltage varies from 40VDC to 110VDC, output power from 100W to 3kW.

Static Converters for Tram Cars (seven types): power supply for 40VDC and 24VDC board network, air conditioning and others devices supplied by alternating current. Converters can be equipped with fans for cooling of the starter and traction engines. Input voltage varies from 400VDC to 900VDC, output power from 1kW to 12kW.

Asynchronous Drive for modernized tram cars, based on two inverters, four 50kW asynchronous motors, static converter and control unit based on PLC. Input voltage range from 400VDC to 900VDC, nominal power: 200kW, maximal starting / braking power: 400kW.

Static Converters for Trains: power supply for 3 x 400VAC, 230VAC, 110VDC and 24VDC board networks. Nominal input voltage: 3kVDC, output power varies from 10kW to 30kW.

Static Converters: power supply for the automatics and control systems of the rail switches for 24VDC or 220VAC. Input voltage varies from 400VDC to 900VDC, output power from 200W to 1kW.

Electronic Water Level Indicators for passenger railway cars and Hand Dryers for railway use.

Rectifier Units, 12- and 18-pulse: power supply for 600VDC and 3000VDC traction.

Generator Controllers for heating and auxiliary generators in diesel locomotives.

Air Heaters for heating the interior of a tram car, and Air Conditioning Units for cooling the air in motorman's cabin.

We also export products to Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania, as well as to the Austrian company ELIN EBG.

In 2001, we established and applied a quality system in accordance with ISO 9001 certified by TÜV management Service GmbH. ENIKA is a member of the Commercial Chamber of Municipal Transportation and a charter member of the Polish Chamber of Railway Equipment and Service Manufacturers.
