High voltage disconnectors

High voltage disconnectors are designed, manufactured and tested in Australia by AK Power Solutions to meet its customer's needs. The disconnectors are available for 12kV, 24kV, 36kV, 72.5kV and 145kV and the load current and through fault withstands ratings to suit a client's needs. The rotary double break design can come with or without an integrated earthing switch and there is an on-site assembly and erection service available. AK Power Systems is able to fit operation as well as remote control facilities and the disconnectors can be customised to suit your needs.

Distribution surge arresters

AK Power Solutions' polymeric surge arresters have 10kA distribution class and ratings from 6kV to 36kV. They are designed and tested to IEC standards and they are in use throughout the country under all conditions.

Air break switches

AK Power solutions has supplied a major share of all air break switches installed in Australia over the past 16 years. It manufactures a number of different versions of air break switches to suit individual customer needs. AK Power solutions can provide a variety of operating systems, including operating handle, hook stick and remote.

The air break switches are available in 12kV / 24kV and 36kV ratings with load current ratings of 630A and 1,250A. The unitised, factory-assembled design offers the following installation advantages:

Air break switches are available with load interrupter modules and can be fitted with motorised operation as well as remote control facilities. There is a fault-make version available as well as horizontal or vertical mounting. There is also rotary (horizontal break) and rocker (vertical break) versions and an associated earthing switch is available on some designs.
