UCA-TRAC COMBINED RAIL-ROAD VEHICLES

UCA-TRAC conveyance vehicles are a unique alternative to inconvenient and slow-moving locomotive traction. Equipped with both rubber tyres and rail-track wheels, UCA-TRAC vehicles are suited to operate in any environment.

CONVEYANCE VEHICLES FOR ROAD AND RAIL

Unrivalled traction power and peerless manoeuvrability are the secrets behind the power of our railcars. Limitless power is delivered by a four-cylinder diesel engine and furnished with four-gear powershift transmission. Offering unmatched track adherence, the four rubber motor-coach wheels of our vehicles enable you to shunt anything from 600t to 3,000t, which amounts to some 40 wagons.

UCA's vehicles also stand out for their seamless flexibility. They are capable of moving from railway to roadway in just a few seconds and can change direction with the greatest ease owing to their minimal turning radius: 1m forward and reverse is all it takes to disengage, while only a few square metres are needed to perform a 360° turn.

REMOTE-CONTROLLED RAILCARS FOR ROAD AND RAIL

Power means nothing without comfort and safety, which is why we place a premium on the ergonomics and safety of every single one of our vehicles. All UCA-TRAC models are fully remote-controlled so that the driver can station himself alongside the vehicle to steer any delicate manoeuvres. The remote control is ideal to distance-monitor the safety of the manoeuvres being performed or to pilot the vehicle as it makes its way through your warehouse.

SAFE AND RELIABLE RAIL-ROAD VEHICLES

The engine is easily accessible for servicing, all parameters on each model are fully adjustable thanks to the on-board computer, the state-of-the-art braking installation steps in at the merest hint of human failure and a single-button emergency stop enables the operator to call a stop to all on-going operations in the case of an emergency.

Wide-angle rear-view mirrors, which come as standard on all vehicles, offer a clear, unencumbered view of the environment in which you are working, and a flasher light on the cabin rooftop ensures maximum visibility whilst driving on a public road.

Thanks to this spectacular array of features, the risk of accident is cut back to virtually zero.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING BY EXPERTS

Regular maintenance and servicing of your vehicle is carried out by experts. Adding even further to your comfort, our innovative system enables any flaws with the vehicle to be automatically detected and transmitted to our technical support unit by mobile phone. This enables us to react in real time and actuate remedial actions by the same route.

The various control and auto-control systems that are fully integrated as part of our vehicles thereby secure a drastic reduction of maintenance costs which can be up to seven times less than traditional locomotives.

FULLY COMPLIANT WITH ROAD AND RAILWAY REGULATIONS

Most of our vehicles have been certified by SNCB (Belgium), the DB (Germany) and Netrail (The Netherlands). The on-board light signalling, which each vehicle has been equipped with, is fully compliant with road and railway regulations. It goes without saying that each of our railcars meets with the strictest European standards in terms of road safety, environmental regulations and reliability.
