New recruit for Transmitton

Transmitton, the UK’s premier supplier of integrated control and asset management solutions to the rail industry has appointed Christopher Ford as account manager, Rail Systems.

Chris joins from Optilan in Coventry where, as Transportation Sales Manager, he specialised in turnkey communications systems for the rail industry. Prior to this, he was business development manager at the Ford Group in Nottingham.

Chris joins the sales and marketing team at Transmitton’s international operating centre in Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire. He brings valuable knowledge and understanding of Transmitton’s core market place from his many years’ experience in the transport industry. His new responsibilities will include developing and securing new business in the light rail sector in the UK and worldwide and he will be involved in major UK transportation projects.

Chris Ford commented, “I’m looking forward to working at Transmitton and to being part of a professional business team that’s dedicated to providing first class solutions. In light of Transmitton’s recent acquisition by Siemens plc. it’s a very exciting time to come on board.”
