Leicestershire Company Acquired by Siemens

Leicestershire-based company Transmitton Ltd has been acquired by Siemens plc from the Alchemy-backed ICS Group Ltd. As a result, Transmitton will become part of Siemens in the UK, reporting to Siemens Transportation Systems.
Transmitton, based in Ashby de la Zouch, employs 120 people. The company won the Enterprise through Innovation Award and Business of the Year Award in the 2005 Leicestershire Business Awards. Transmitton will continue to operate from its Ashby site and the Transmitton brand name will continue to be used.
