Leicestershire-based Transmitton, leading international supplier of integrated control and asset management solutions, has won the Enterprise Through Innovation award and been voted Business of the Year in the 2005 Leicestershire Business Awards. Award winners were announced at a gala presentation evening at De Montfort Hall, Leicester on Friday 20 May.
Key to winning both awards was Transmitton’s ability to design and apply new technologies, especially in rail and process industries where global market conditions and pressures have massively increased demands for improved control, effective operations and cost efficient asset maintenance. Transmitton has embarked upon a major development programme, producing innovative technologies that bring advances to operational and maintenance areas, provide robust solutions with tangible benefits for customers and that deliver service, safety and performance improvements for operators. Systems include Network Management Systems (NMS), Integrated Station Management Systems (ISM), Real-Time Passenger Information Systems (RTPIS) and Remote Condition Monitoring Software (RCM).
Managing Director Ian Wright commented: “I am thrilled that Transmitton has achieved two awards this year and especially delighted to have won ‘Business of the Year’. We work extremely hard to continuously improve our position as an innovative solutions provider and Business of the Year is an accolade of which we can be very proud. We will continue to innovate and develop our products as one of the country’s leading technology businesses”.
