Brady - Cable and Wire Identification Markers, Labels and Tags

Brady develops, manufactures and distributes cables and cable management systems that include identification products and labels.

The Heatex™ range of cable and wire markers and other cable identification products are particularly suited to the high-temperature wiring and cabling demands of the railway industry.

Other products ideal for use in rail engineering applications include Laminat™ carriers and tags for cable and wire identification, polyester labels for thermal transfer print and Brady's label printing software.

HEATEX™ CABLE AND WIRE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

Heatex™ is a computerized system for the identification of wires, cables, tubes and equipment that offers a superb combination of clarity and durability. The markers are nicely organized on a backing liner, which makes it easy to find the marker you need and to pick it up fast. This makes the Heatex™ identification system the ideal choice for fast and convenient marker production.

Each type of marker can be printed by thermal transfer printer, using the excellent CAB range of thermal transfer printers – or alternative printers – and carefully selected Brady ribbons. Most products are offered as standard in a variety of colours. However, we can also produce customised colour designs in certain cases.

HEATEX™ HEAT SHRINKABLE CABLE AND WIRE MARKERS

The Heatex™ range of heat shrinkable wire markers includes the following formats:

• Flame retardant
• Roll format
• Jumbo roll format
• Double-sided roll format
• 0-halogen
• Z-fold format

The markers have passed MIL-DTL 23053/5 class 1, UL224 125°C 600V VW-1 File No. E48762, CSA C22.2 No. 198. File No. LR 33298 and MIL-M-81531 AS point 3.4.2/4.6.2 Adherence and point 3.4.3 Resistance to solvents.

FLAME RETARDANT, HIGH-TEMPERATURE WIRE MARKERS

These wire markers are extremely flexible, high temperature rated, highly flame retardant with UL and CSA recognised heat shrinkable tubing. Designed to provide high quality markers for a variety of applications, they can be used where a low shrink temperature is an important factor.

HALOGEN-FREE HEAT SHRINKABLE WIRE MARKERS

Brady produces halogen-free flexible flame retardant heat shrinkable polyolefine tubing with ideal printability properties for cable and wire identification purposes. The tubing contains no added halogens and offers excellent fire safety characteristics combined with minimal smoke emission. Common uses include marking, wire bundling and mechanical protection.

HEATEX™ CABLE MARKERS

Heatex cable markers are produced by Brady in self-extinguishing and halogene-free polyurethane for thermal transfer printing. The markers are supplied on rolls, which means production, storage and picking are easy and convenient. The markers are offered as standard in yellow, white, red, blue, orange and black (for white print).

The markers have passed SAE-AS81531-1998 (MIL81531), Marking of electrical insulating material, point 3.4.2/4.6.2 Adherence and point 3.4.3 Resistance to solvents.

LAMINAT™ CARRIERS AND MANILA TAGS FOR CABLE IDENTIFICATION

This highly versatile laminate carrier for cable identification comes with a strip to laminate text labels. The carrier is to be fixed with two cable ties directly on the cables and wires. This dependable marking system enables you to permanently mark cables and wires.

Brady also supplies self-sealing manila tags for identification of material in tough environments, including valves, instruments, motors and other industrial components. The tags are available in two versions: with and without stainless steel reinforcement rings, and cable ties or metal threads for mounting use.

WRAPAROUND WIRE MARKERS

This is a top-coated highly flexible clear vinyl film coated with a permanent pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and backed with a sheet release liner. We offer two different materials, depending on the size of cable.

POLYESTER LABELS FOR THERMAL TRANSFER PRINT

We specialise in technical labels for demanding environments. The combination of material, adhesive and print medium makes the difference.

BRADY LABELS SOFTWARE FOR EDITING AND PRINTING LABELS FOR WIRE AND CABLE MARKERS

The Brady Labels Software 5.0 is used for editing and printing of labels, wraparounds, Heatex™ products and flattened, continuous heat shrink tubing. The software works under Windows™ and is very easy to apprehend. All existing label designs are set up as templates. From the templates, you choose the exact designs that you want to work with.

Brady also offers a wide selection of printer ribbons for many combinations of thermal transfer printers, products and applications.
