SCCS - Environmentally Friendly Cable Protection Systems

Swedish Cable Channel System (SCCS) was established in 2005, and is a part of the Scandinavian Rail Group. We develop and manufacture environmentally friendly cable protection products in a regainable plastic composite, which allows for easier handling and longer lasting products. Our head office is in Alvesta Småland, and our manufacturing is in Gelleråsen Karlskoga.

CABLE PROTECTION CHANNEL SYSTEM

The cable channel system is modular and simple to install. A wide range of components are available for cable protection, including single and multi-channel cable protectors and lids, marking posts, well systems, and protective cable piping.

All of SCCS's products are made from industrial waste, such as regained plastic waste, wood flour and bind, which produces a strong material that cannot be broken down by UV light, damp or rot, and will not even crack under weather variations such as cold or heat.

The quality of the composite produces a material which is easy to work on, whether cutting, sawing, drilling, making holes or screwing into. Compared to traditional concrete, where you need machines and heavy lifts to work or move the material, SCCS cable protectors save resources and reduce handling times.

ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY CABLE PROTECTION PRODUCTS

SCCS's series of environmentally friendly cable protection products have been produced using a unique method, where regained plastic and wood fibres are the main elements of the manufacturing process. SCCS's products have many benefits, for example:

  • Low weight, reducing the transportation and handling cost for the customer, as well as work-related injuries
  • Regained material means much less load on the environment
  • The product can be recycled and used again
  • The product is very easy to work on with just ordinary tools (cutting, drilling, etc.)
  • The products have a long lifespan and are able to endure both UV-radiation and high pressure.

SCCS's unique process of mixing regainable plastic with woodpowder in our products lies at the heart of a company that has always manufactured environmentally-friendly products.
