The range of braking system technology available includes the innovative EP2002 Distributed Brake Control System. This system, designed specifically for metro applications, uses advanced mechatronics to deliver outstanding features and performance. Knorr-Bremse braking systems can be configured to meet the braking demands of high-speed trains, locomotives, multiple units, light rail, metro trains and freight wagons. Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems (UK) Limited holds the status of a Centre of Competence (CoC) for brake control within the Knorr-Bremse Group. WESTINGHOUSE PLATFORM SCREEN DOORSPlatform screen systems from Westinghouse Platform Screen Doors are designed and engineered to fit the requirements of the individual application and the exact specification of the customer. Installations in the UK, China, Denmark, Malaysia and Singapore have demonstrated, through millions of opening / closing cycles, the safety and reliability of the Westinghouse Platform Screen Doors systems. Platform screen systems enhance platform safety by creating a barrier between passengers on the platform and the train and track. They control the entry and exit flow of passengers, enabling operators to maintain schedules and assisting passengers entering or exiting the train to do so in a more orderly way. In addition, platform screen systems can enhance the appearance of a station and Westinghouse Platform Screen Doors are experienced in working closely with station architects and designers to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing effects.
