Barnett Engineering's Cryogenic processing center has opened it's doors in France. "It is with great pleasure that we are able to begin operations in Crolles" stated BE's president Gerald Barnett.

Barnett Engineering is the premier operator in France to begin processing metal brake parts for the light rail industy in France. Barnett Engineering's Cryogenic processing facility is able to process over 300kg of metal brake pads and rotors per week at their Crolles facility near Grenoble. Cryogenic processing of brake parts and rotors increases the duty life by upto 400% in most instances, and is a simple one time treatment that lasts the life of the part.

Cryogenic treatments are used in the United States and the United Kingdom to increase the life of brake pads and rotors, in the light rail, aviation, and automotive industry. The one time cryogenic treatment of brake parts results in very large cost reductions for the end user. Scientific tests show that the surfaces of the rotors are less prone to cracking and warpage, and the pads and rotor surfaces last longer, much longer.
