Hagens Fjedre AS

Hagens Fjedre AS - Springs for Industrial and Agricultural Purposes

Hagens Fjedre began in 1945 when engineer Knud Hagens decided to set up his own business in Copenhagen. This enterprise was originally a bicycle shop with a basement workshop, where Hagens produced springs in narrow wire diameters in a little room adjacent to his workshop.

By 1966 he had a total of 30 employees at the 620m² premises. Owing to lack of space and in order to provide better service to the market in Jutland, he established a new factory in Støvring. Springs were manufactured here in wire diameters of up to 25mm, for both industrial and agricultural purposes.

SPRINGS WHILE YOU WAIT

Since that time numerous new initiatives have seen the light of day, including the introduction of a new concept, 'springs while you wait', in the sales and service centre, where technical calculations, production of prototypes and minor orders are carried out within a matter of hours or days. Our service covers our entire product range, including compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, wire components and strip steel.

We have gathered our activities in modern, environmentally friendly factories in Brovst and Støvring, comprising a total of 8,000m². Our head office, including our administration department, is located in Støvring.

AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY SPRINGS

In Brovst we manufacture springs for agricultural machinery and special components such as R-clips, wire components, spring clips and components in strip steel. In Støvring we manufacture springs in narrow and heavy wire diameters for industrial use both in Denmark and abroad.

Today we are a third generation, privately owned Danish enterprise enjoying positive growth, and we can boast a professional board and 100 well qualified and well experienced employees within the industry.

Our vision is to cement our position as the leading manufacturer of springs in Denmark whilst at the same time belonging to an elite group of the best manufacturers in Europe.
